Cheryl Bowden

Cheryl has vast experience in operations and logistics. She spent 12 years specializing in the live events industry working for the UKs largest staging company, managing the operational and logistical requirements of supplying stages and structures to some of the world's largest festivals and touring events. This work included management of shipping structures to Dubai and New Zealand, putting trailer stages and trucks on an Antonov on route to Nigeria, and assisting with floating structures in the River Lea in Olympic Park for the 2012 London Olympics. The work included logistical movements of kit and crew across Europe's busy event seasons.

Cheryl’s career in operations management continued in New Zealand, firstly for a production company primarily supplying Venues in Wellington and from there it was a natural step into health and safety (H&S) management for WellingtonNZ.  Her role there was to ensure H&S compliance across the whole organisation, from venues, tourism and marketing to the business growth teams. Cheryl is passionate about growing a positive H&S culture and increasing H&S maturity across organisations.

Cheryl is a strong advocate for Safety Differently; driving meaningful cultural change in organisations to increase their risk and safety maturity and awareness.  She is committed to taking this approach forward with Reliance's clients, helping to upskill their teams and build strong, resilient cultures in their workplaces.
